This interactive course introduces students to nursing and allied health careers. Through teamwork, hands-on experiences, and real-world scenarios, students will explore the diverse roles in healthcare and the pathways to these professions.
Students will learn about fields such as nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and respiratory therapy, and visit a state-of-the-art simulation lab. The course offers insight into the healthcare system and helps students assess their interest in a career focused on caring for others.
Example activities include, a field trip to the GWU School of Nursing Simulation Lab, guest speakers from various nursing and healthcare professions, hands-on skill-building and interactive classroom and simulation activities.
This is an in-person course that meets daily Monday- Friday in Fairfax, 9AM – 4PM ET. Tuition covers materials, meals (lunch/snacks), and transportation to any off-site excursions.
Refund Policy: Registrants are eligible for a refund until 60 days from the program start. Please note that a $150 administrative fee will be retained to cover the costs associated with application review and the admissions process.
